• Studying the brief history of local body elections in Tamil Nadu since 1996.
• Compiling Timeline of events respect to local body elections since 2016
• Sample data collection on the impacts in the absence of elected representatives
• Referring Acts, G.O’s and Notifications in respect to Local Governance
• Compiling data and submitting a position paper

Learning opportunities :

• Gaining knowledge in the Part IX of Indian constitution
• Understanding the administrative structure of the Central, State & Local Governments
• Politics at the grassroots level.
• Getting to know about various development programs by the Government and other development agencies

Skills: Basic documentation skills, Prior experience in doing survey would be appreciated
